Tourmaline
Its name comes from the word toramelli which originates from one of the dialects of Sri Lanka (formerly Ceylon). The Dutch were the first to bring Tourmaline to Europe in 1703. Rubellite variety had been used as a gemstone ever since. Due to its electrical properties, it is often used for energy transfer. It was also believed to stimulate artistic abilities and soon became a spiritual stone. Depending on its color, it is divided into categories, some of which are:

It is a transparent to opaque stone with a hardness of 7-7.5. It has healing properties, improves memory and prevents the formation of vertigo. It discharges into water and recharges quickly in sunlight. The energy center to place the tourmaline is the heart. High quality crystals have been found in Brazil as well as in Italy, Czech Republic, Connecticut, Afghanistan, Mozambique Madagascar, Zambia, Russia, Sri Lanka and others. It is cut into camouflage, cut with chairs as well as for sculpture. It is also the lucky stone of Pisces.
