Description
Pendant Glaucippe
In Greek mythology, the name Glaucippe refers to one of the 50 daughters of Danaus, that is, one of the Danaids. Her mother was Polyxo, and therefore Glaucippe was sister of Cleopatra, Eurydice, Bryce, Euippe, Erato, Theano, Electra, Cleodore and Stygne. Glaucippe married the son of Aegyptus, Potamon, whom she killed on the first night of their marriage, as did the other 48 of the Danaids with their husbands.
