Description

Ring Adite

In Greek mythology, the name Adite refers to one of the 50 daughters of Danaus, that is, one of the Danaids. Adite's mother was Pieria, and therefore she was a cousin of Actaea, Dioxippe, Podarce, Pylarge and Ocypete.

Adite's mother was Pieria, and therefore Aditi was a cousin of Actaea, Dioxippe, Podarce, Pylarge and Ocypete. Adite married the son of Aegyptus, Menalcis, whom she killed on the first night of their marriage, as did the other 48 of the Danaids with their husbands.
