Description
Pendant Actaea
In Greek mythology, the name Actaea refers to one of the 50 daughters of Danaus, that is, one of the Danaids. Actaea's mother was Pieria, and therefore Actaea was sister of Adite, Dioxippe, Podarce, Pylarge and Ocypete. Actaea married the son of Aegyptus, Periphas, whom she killed on the first night of their marriage, as did the other 48 of the Danaids with their husbands.
