Konstantinos Foukas was born in Venezuela and grew up in Greece. At a young age he realized his love for Art and with the urging of those around him he decided to follow his dream. He received his artistic education at a School of Silver and Goldsmithing in the mid-1980s. In the following decade he worked in the most prestigious silver and gold workshops in the country while collaborating with veterans of the industry. In 1990 he founded the company Xanthos-Foukas with his partner, they took part in a variety of exhibitions, exporting jewelry outside the country. Since 2000 he maintains his own workshop and jewelry store in which he oversees the design and manufacture of all jewelry. Konstantinos Foukas draws his inspiration both from the stones he processes and from their aural properties. His timeless Muse is the Woman, the mystery and the complexity of Her nature have always fascinated him. The trademark of his work is the Uniqueness of his handmade jewelry along with his very personal character. Although it follows the dictates of fashion, he emphasizes the importance of preserving the identity of artists. Black Tourmaline, white Quartz and Ammonite have a special place in the artistic work of Konstantinos Foukas. He characterizes the creation of his jewelry as "genesis" and treats the procedure as a ritual that every stage requires his undiminished interest and respect.
